WIC FOOD ASSISTANCE

WIC food benefits offer healthy, supplemental foods specially selected to meet the nutritional needs of:
  • Pregnant and postpartum women

  • Breastfeeding and non-breastfeeding mothers

  • Infants and children up to age five who are at nutritional risk

These food packages are designed to support growth, development, and overall well-being — helping families access nutritious foods for everyday meals.

At ITCN WIC, our friendly nutrition experts provide easy-to-understand guidance on healthy eating and wellness. Families receive:
  • Practical tips for building balanced meals

  • Support for establishing lifelong healthy habits

  • Culturally appropriate nutrition education

Breastfeeding Education & Support

Breastfeeding support is at the heart of WIC. Most ITCN WIC peer counselors meet with new moms directly in the clinic during regular hours. Families receive:
  • One-on-one guidance from trained breastfeeding counselors

  • Encouragement and answers to common breastfeeding questions

  • Personalized support to help moms feel confident and empowered
