WIC HEALTH

The idea for WIC Health was created in 2001 by Dr. Robert Bensley, a public health professional and professor at Western Michigan University. Recognizing the growing role of technology in learning, he saw an opportunity to make nutrition education easier to access. Through a partnership with the Michigan Department of Community Health, WICHealth.org was developed and launched. Today, it serves WIC families across the nation, providing convenient, easy-to-understand education that supports healthier lifestyles.

Nutrition Education
and More

WIC Health offers more than lessons. Many families use the platform to explore recipes created with WIC-approved foods, making it easier to plan meals and try new ideas at home. The goal is to help you understand nutrition in a way that is simple, practical, and easy to use in your everyday life.
